Why Video?

Recently, a client contacted us because his parents were having a 50th Anniversary.
He wanted to create a special video tribute & big screen presentation, and he also wanted us to film the party.

Part of the video tribute included old super 8 video footage from his parents wedding in 1949.
In the tribute we cut from the photographs of that 1949 wedding to the video clips from the same location.

When looking at the photograph of the bride & bridesmaids prepping in front of a large vanity mirror, they looked like the stylized people of the late 40's. Frozen in time, hair & dress from from another era, they barely seemed real.
And did not look like kids.

But when the video clips cut in, they came alive. All the awkwardness of youth was evident.
But now they were very real. Looking like kids in their 20's, excited, nervous, and very much in love.

Video is a medium like no other, allowing us to relive a moment. Often enabling us to see things we missed. A bride we filmed was escorted down the aisle by her dad. All the way down the aisle her father was fighting to hold back tears. The tension on his face, struggling not to cry, was a truly great moment. But the bride, by his side, saw none of it.Until she was able to watch the video. She had less success holding back her tears...

Today's video is able to be delivered on DVD, a virtually indestructible medium.
Video is about your life, about the reality of the moment, about forever...
