image packages. By utilizing our unique process of extracting
and processing still images from HD video, we have dramatically
altered the "photojournalism" landscape. Nothing is
more photojournalistic than 30 pictures per second - nothing.
Further, we have professional photographers using cutting edges 21mp cameras and artistic composition to give you the best of both worlds.
All Image Packages include:

HD video artists. We have been filming in long form HD for more
than two years. While our competitors are just purchasing their
first cameras or delaying even longer their investment in current
technology, we have filmed & edited over 500 events in HD,
learning the subtle techniques that make this medium powerful.

Video Madness has been delivering
images to couples since 1989.We were the first Bay Area Company
to go HD, the first to offer a second level
of HD quality by utilizing the Sony EX-1, & the first to utilize the Canon 5D MII DSLR camera for video. First generation HD (1G) has great resolution
, but trouble in low light. The increased resolution has been
so satisfying that one adjusted to the low light challenge. Further,
1G cameras still record to tape. Tape is robust, but tape can
have damage, drop-outs, and issues that a mechanical tape path
will produce. Again, this is an acceptable trade-off considering
the increased resolution. Another trade-off is the recording length.
Tapes for HD cameras come in 63 or 84 minutes – with the
84 minute being considerably thinner.We have filmed over 500 events
with these limitations and have produced beautiful products. But
we now have another level of quality to offer in the Sony EX-1. Consider these second generation (2G) benefits:
• Stunning low-light performance. (great for those churches
and temples)
• Solid State recording – NO TAPE! (no dropouts, instant
access, ultra-reliability)
• Continuous Recording! (no church
breaks, no tape change at important moments)

Canon 5d MII
In 2008 third generation cameras (3G) arrived - by accident. Canon introduced its high end photographic camera, the 5D MII, which also did video as an afterthought. The rest is history. A full sized sensor with photographic glass. That shallow depth of field movie look so difficult to achieve with a video camera (where the subject is in sharp focus but the background is out of focus) is easily accomplished with the 5D. Low light capability? Unsurpassed. It must be seen to be believed.

While your images are priceless, we understand that some budgets are very limited. We offer economy packages with this need in mind. Economy packages feature a professional photographer, HD Cameras, simple clean-up editing, casually dressed DVD's, and no re-edits or touch-ups (except errors).
